The Committee on Economic Policy recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill to amend the Law “On Prohibition of Privatization, Alienation, Creation of a Mortgage and Addition to Charter Capitals of Business Entities of All Proprietary Forms of the Block of Shares in the Charter Capital of the Closed Joint-Stock Company “Odessa Film Studio” that Belongs to the State (re its harmonization with the norms of the Law of Ukraine “On Cinematography”)

The Committee stressed that the bill (Reg. No. 11016) introduces some changes to the current law, in particular, excludes article 2 that entitles the Cabinet of Ministers to elaborate and submit for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the bill to amend several legislative acts to ensure conditions for resumption of Ukrainian cinematic art.

Members of the Committee believe that adoption of the law would allow for avoiding discrepancies and improving the legal basis in cinematography.
